How do I add my first expense?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen, enter the amount, select a category, add an optional note, and tap "Add Expense". Your expense will be saved immediately and synced across your devices.

How do I set up a monthly budget?

Go to Settings β†’ Budget and enter your monthly budget amount. You can also set individual budgets for each category to track spending more precisely. You'll receive notifications when you're approaching your limits.

Can I create custom categories?

Yes! Go to Settings β†’ Categories and tap "Add Category". Choose a name, icon, and color for your custom category. Free users can create up to 8 categories, while Premium users get unlimited categories.

How do I add income?

Tap the "+" button and switch to the "Income" tab at the top. Enter the amount, source (salary, freelance, etc.), and any notes. Income is tracked separately to give you a clear picture of your net savings.

How does iCloud sync work?

When enabled, your expenses and settings automatically sync across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. Go to Settings β†’ Sync to enable or disable iCloud sync. Changes sync within seconds when you have an internet connection.

Can I sign in on multiple devices?

Yes! Sign in with the same account (Apple, Google, or Email) on any device, and your data will sync automatically via iCloud. Your subscription also transfers between devices.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings β†’ scroll to "Danger Zone" β†’ tap "Delete Your Account". This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone. Make sure to export your data first if you need it.

My data isn't syncing. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure iCloud is enabled in Settings β†’ Sync
  • Verify you're signed into the same iCloud account on all devices
  • Try pulling down on the home screen to force a sync
  • Restart the app

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings β†’ Premium and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. If you still have issues, contact us with your Apple receipt.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone β†’ tap your name at the top β†’ Subscriptions β†’ Banked β†’ Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

What's the difference between yearly and lifetime?

The yearly subscription renews automatically each year. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that gives you permanent access to all Pro features with no recurring charges. Lifetime is the best value if you plan to use Banked for more than 2-3 years.

How do I scan receipts?

Tap the camera icon when adding an expense. Point your camera at the receipt, and our AI will automatically extract the amount and suggest a category. Review the details and tap save. This is a Premium feature.

How do recurring expenses work?

Set up recurring expenses for bills like rent, subscriptions, or utilities. Go to Settings β†’ Recurring Expenses β†’ Add New. Choose the frequency (weekly, monthly, yearly) and Banked will automatically log them on schedule and notify you before they're due.

Can I export my data?

Yes! Go to Settings β†’ Export Data to download your expenses as a CSV file. You can open this in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any spreadsheet app. This is available to all Premium users.

Does Banked work on Apple Watch?

Yes! The Banked Apple Watch app lets you quickly log expenses on the go and view your daily spending summary. It syncs automatically with your iPhone via iCloud.

Are there widgets available?

Yes! Add Banked widgets to your home screen to see your spending at a glance. We offer small, medium, and large widgets showing daily/monthly spending, budget progress, and recent transactions.
